C. Manuel Carlevaro
I am a physicist with diverse research interests in the fields of biophysics, granular matter physics, confined fluids, and complex systems.
I am currently an Independent Researcher at the Instituto de Física de Líquidos y Sistemas Biológicos which depends on CONICET and the Universidad Nacional de La Plata.
I am also a Full Professor at the Facultad Regional La Plata of the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional, where I direct the Centro de Investigación en Mecánica Experimental y Computacional and teach the Advanced Calculus course in the Mechanical Engineering Department.
Education
Ph.D. in Physics, 2002.
Universidad Nacional de La Plata, La Plata, Argentina.Licenciado in Physics, 1995. Universidad Nacional de Rosario, Rosario, Argentina.
Bachelor in Biological Sciences, 1985. Escuela Normal Superior José María Torres, Paraná, Argentina.
Interests
- Computational modeling and simulation
- Confined fluids
- Granular materials
- Biophysics
- Complex systems
Book
I am the co-author, along with Facundo Batista, of «Python para Ciencia y Tecnología». It is an independently published book in Spanish that covers basic, intermediate, and advanced aspects of the Python programming language, as well as some applications in science and technology. It is distributed for free in PDF format.
