C. Manuel Carlevaro

I am a physicist specializing in computational modeling and simulation of many-particle systems. I apply the same tools from statistical mechanics to very different problems: granular matter, confined fluids, molecular biophysics and complex systems.

I am currently an Independent Researcher at the Instituto de Física de Líquidos y Sistemas Biológicos which depends on CONICET and the Universidad Nacional de La Plata, where I lead the Statistical Mechanics of Liquids and Soft Condensed Matter group.

I am also a Full Professor at the Facultad Regional La Plata of the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional, where I direct the Centro de Investigación en Mecánica Experimental y Computacional and teach the Advanced Calculus course in the Mechanical Engineering Department.

I am the co-author, along with Facundo Batista, of «Python para Ciencia y Tecnología». It is an independently published book in Spanish that covers basic, intermediate, and advanced aspects of the Python programming language, as well as some applications in science and technology. It is distributed for free in PDF format.
